Jeff Conaway, the American actor who passed away on Friday (27th May 2011), "had a good heart", according to his 'Grease' co-star Olivia Newton-John. Jeff Conaway married the actress' sister Rona back in 1980 but the couple divorced five years later, E! News.
Just days after Conaway's passing, Newton-John paid tribute to the actor, saying, "It's so very sad. Jeff had a good heart and was so very talented. He was a big part of our family for many years and he will be missed". The 'Taxi' star died in a Los Angeles hospital on Friday having been removed from life support. The 60-year-old was first rushed to hospital almost two weeks ago after being found unconscious at his home. His passing has also elicited tributes from Dr Drew Pinsky and the Hollywood actor John Travolta, who described Conaway as a "wonderful and decent man". The actor began his career on stage, appearing in a Broadway production at the age of 2. He would later star in a number of acclaimed movies, most notably 'Grease. In recent years he made appearances on 'Babylon 5' and was nominated for Golden Globes for his portrayal of 'Bobby Wheeler' in 'Taxi'.
It was reported last week that Jeff Conaway's ex-girlfriend VIKKI LIZZI had attempted to overturn the decision to turn off the actor's life support. Lizzi had reportedly gone to court in a last-ditch attempt to keep Conaway alive.
