Jeff Bridges has performed a duet with the Cookie Monster on 'Saturday Night Live'.

The 'Tron: Legacy' actor joined forces with the fictional 'Sesame Street' character to perform a rendition of festive track 'Silver Bells' on a Christmas special of the US chat show.

Jeff - who was hosting the episode - also appeared in several comedy skits as part of the festive show, including one in which he plays cheeky pranks on fellow celebrities Maggie Gyllenhaal and Billy Bob Thornton.

However, the seemingly unlikely pair weren't the only famous faces to collaborate for the one-off special.

Rap stars Eminem and Lil Wayne - who was released from prison earlier this year - joined forces for an exclusive collaboration on 'No Love', which was backed by a live band.

DJ Scoob Do - an associate of Lil Wayne - told MTV News: "The energy in the building is historical and it's extra special to see everybody fight for position backstage to see Lil Wayne take over 'Saturday Night Live'."
