Jean Dujardin and Gilles Lellouche play the unfaithful and sexually obsessed men from the romantic country of France in this racy but hilarious French comedy. With the theme of sexual infidelity being the movie's core subject, we see the primal instincts take place in every part of their lives; hotels, sex addiction clinics, glamorous nightclubs in Paris and Sin City itself, Las Vegas. From ridiculous excuses to time honoured tricks, these men will say and do anything to live a sexually absorbed life kept apart from suspicious partners.
Titled in France as 'Les infideles', the producers of this film pulled out all the stops to make this movie as outrageous and near the knuckle as possible, without turning it into a what could've been a tacky porn flick. The hilarity and ludicrousness that is obvious throughout keeps the mood more silly than saucy, however. To the average prude, it is cynical and sexist, but to those who enjoy a good joke, it really is one to watch this summer whether you're French or not. Directed by Emmanuelle Bercot ('Backstage', 'Clement') and Fred Cavaye ('Point Blank', 'Anything For Her'), 'The Players' will hit the UK very soon come July 6th 2012.
Starring: Jean Dujardin, Gilles Lellouche, Lionel Abelanski and Guillaume Canet
