Action star Jean-Claude Van Damme headed to MACau, China on Saturday (06Jul13) to scout for fresh talent for his next project at the Indian International Film Academy (Iifa) Awards.
The Double Impact actor served as a presenter at the prizegiving, touted as the Indian version of the Academy Awards, but he reveals he was also on the look out for new faces to cast in his forthcoming movie.
He says, "India has great actors and actresses and it is a great country. We should be honoured to have Indian actors in our film. We are going to make a film (called) Luxury Meets Justice and India is a big market and should be a part of it."
The Belgian martial arts expert is keen to delve further into Indian culture by starring in his first Bollywood film.
When asked about the possibility of such a venture, he told reporters, "I hope so. It will be a pleasure."
Van Damme isn't the first Hollywood actor to express interest in Bollywood - Brad Pitt previously admitted he was impressed with the "drama and colour" of Indian movies, while Penelope Cruz is indulging in her love of the culture by working on a big screen adaptation of the book Passion India, which she plans to shoot in the Asian country.
