Rapper J. Cole was forced to postpone two dates on his U.S. tour after breaking his leg on Friday (09Sep11).
The rising star, who is signed to Jay Z's Roc Nation record label and recently toured with Rihanna, was expected to hit the stage in Florida on Sunday (11Sep11) in support of his upcoming debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story.
But Cole had to push back the shows in Orlando and Fort Lauderdale after a dash to hospital at the start of the weekend.
In a post on his Twitter.com blog, he wrote, "Friday night in the ER. Damn... This is a minor setback..."
However, a statement released by his representative on Saturday (10Sep11) reveals the injury is more serious than the star had initially thought.
It stated, "Unfortunately, J. Cole, broke his leg last night so his Florida shows have all been postponed. (Concert venue) Revolution will honor all current tickets for the new date being scheduled in October. Those requesting refunds for tickets purchased should do so at point of sale."
