Beyonce gained 57 pounds when pregnant with her daughter Blue Ivy, and though she felt ''crazy fat'', she enjoyed the time.
Beyonce felt ''crazy fat'' during her pregnancy.
The 'Irreplaceable' singer - who has 15-month old daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay-Z - gained a large amount of weight when she was carrying the little girl, but she insists she enjoyed the changes to her body.
She said: ''There were moments when I felt my nose had spread 20 inches, and my face felt crazy fat, and my lips were swollen, and I gained 57 pounds! But ultimately I enjoyed it.''
The 31-year-old star was in no rush to lose her baby weight afterwards, however, and although she was eager to regain her toned figure, she felt it was more important to do it healthily.
Beyonce recalled to Britain's Vogue magazine: ''After a month, I went strict. Before I gave birth I said, 'I don't want to get comfortable with whatever weight I gain. I want to still feel my best!'
''I have a child - God willing - I'll give myself more time. Because it was just not necessary to do it that fast.''
The singer is gearing up for her 'Mrs. Carter Show' world tour - for which she will rehearse up to 10 hours a day - and is worried about her weight after preparations for her Super Bowl comeback in February were so gruelling, she then binged on fried foods for a week afterwards.
She said: ''I worked harder than I have in a long time. And after that, I took me my week and I ate everything I wanted to.
''From donuts to cheeseburgers to fried fish - I even had fried alligator. Anything fried!''
