Jason Patric has joined the cast of 'Hotel 33'.

The 47-year-old actor - who is known for play Brian Fitzgerald in 'My Sister's Keeper' - has been signed up to star in the upcoming horror- thriller project by Open Road Films after negotiations for Nicolas Cage to land the leading role were broken down, according to Variety.

The movie is based on the disappearance of 33 people on the opening night of the Grand Hotel in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, in 1953 and while the detective is investigating the event, four youngsters break into the now-abandoned hotel for a night of wild partying, but things soon turn sour when four of the teenagers suddenly vanish.
