Hollywood star Jason Lee has expressed a desire to work on a European film.
The ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS actor has said he would cross the Atlantic for a project as he rates the quality of the continent's movies.
Speaking to ThisisCroydontoday.co.uk, he cited LA VIE EN ROSE, which stars Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, as a "perfect" example of European films adding that it "humiliates American cinema".
"I could be wrong because I'm not French, I don't live in Paris and I'm not part of the French movie industry, but something tells me that there's more naturally a kind of artistic passion within the blood of the French, or the Italian," Jason continued.
The actor added that in the States a film like LA VIE EN ROSE would be considered a big risk and studios would want a more prominent star to take the lead role.
Meanwhile, Jason will soon be taking to the screen with socialite and some-time actress Paris Hilton.
The It girl will guest star in Lee's hit TV show MY NAME IS EARL.
Reports claim that she will appear in a dream Earl has while lying unconscious in an hour-long special episode.
The hotel heiress has previously starred in her own reality show The Simple Life and several movies including the recently released THE HOTTIE AND THE NOTTIE.
