Former DAWSON'S CREEK star Jason Behr has so impressed Japanese samurai custodians they're honouring him by making a sword in his honour.
The SHIPPING NEWS star spent much of his spare time away from the Tokyo set of new film The Grudge checking out the local culture - and his interest and respect earned him high marks with modern samurai experts.
He says, "I saw a samurai sword getting made. I did meet the guy who is going to make my sword. His name is YOSHI HARA. He's like the next in line to be a living national treasure in sword play.
"He brought me to his house and he showed me how to make it from this little piece of iron oar to the whole regalia-like sword. They're beautiful."25/10/2004 21:15
