Jason Bateman is set to star in 'The Insane Laws'.
The 'Horrible Bosses' star has entered early talks to take a leading role in the comedy opposite Vince Vaughn, with the pair playing friends who have been close since college but are tested when both of their children fall for each other and Vaughn's daughter falls pregnant.
The movie has been developed as a vehicle for 41-year-old Vaughn by Universal and will be the directorial debut of scriptwriter Jeremy Garelick, Deadline.com reports.
Both stars have done a read-through and it is thought if Jason signs up the movie could go into production as early as the autumn.
The project is one of a number of comedy films Jason is attached to star in - as well as the forthcoming 'Horrible Bosses' with Jennifer Aniston, he is also set to appear in 'The Change-Up', billed as a male version of 'Freaky Friday', opposite Ryan Reynolds.
