Rocker Jarvis Cocker is to receive an honorary degree from the British university he immortalised in Pulp hit Common People.
The singer studied fine art and film at University of the Arts London and later referenced his alma mater's constituent college Central Saint Martins in the 1995 anthem.
The song opens with the line, "She came from Greece she had a thirst for knowledge/She studied sculpture at Saint Martins College."
Cocker, who reformed Pulp last year (10) after a nine-year hiatus, will accept his degree on 20 July (11) at London's Royal Festival Hall.
