The Supernatural star hit headlines when he pulled out of events at the Jus In Bello Convention in Italy and All Hell Breaks Loose 6 bash in Australia, and his manager subsequently revealed he was suffering from exhaustion.

On Saturday (06Jun15), the 32 year old returned to the spotlight at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas for the Gilmore Girls reunion panel and he insisted he was feeling much better after "rebooting"

He told Us Weekly magazine, "I did have a chance to reboot, and it was amazing. I was 17 years old when I moved to Los Angeles, and I just kind of got into a habit... Everything was like, work, work, work, work, do, do, do, do and the last summer, my life has changed a lot.

"I have a wife. I have two sons and so I really needed a chance to just unplug. And it was the best thing I've ever done. I'll probably do it every year."

He continues, "You find out you're finite. And for a guy like me who's really Type A, put me to work, give me more, do more! It's difficult to admit that you're a finite individual, right? But it was humbling, and I'm very proud I got to do it."

Padalecki previously concerned fans by coming clean about a past depression battle, revealing he once had a breakdown in his trailer on the set of Supernatural.
