Another year of epic geekdom is over - but the excitement remains.
As usual the San Diego Comic-Con International was the place to be for comic and movie fans across the globe. Not only were a ton of new trailers unveiled, but loads of questions were answered and there were some pretty interesting moments in between.
Superman isn't feeling the love in the 'Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice'
Comic-Con 2015 was, as usual, a roaring success with attendees desperate to learn more about the upcoming 'Star Wars' movie and, of course, 'Batman v Superman'. But that wasn't all that gripped the world at this year's event; and here are but a few moments of pure joy from SDCC 2015.
Is it really wise to trust your most dangerous sworn enemies? Sometimes you have little choice when there are threats in the world too brutal to put your best men on. Amanda Weller is in charge of a top secret government organisation known as A.R.G.U.S. They have in their detainment some of the world's craziest psychopaths, supervillains and powerful mutants, and while they are being of no use to society stuck in prison cells, Weller introduces a brand new team known as the Suicide Squad in which these criminals can carry out seemingly impossible missions with the promise of freedom or, at least, reduced sentences. Among them are such fiends as Harley Quinn, The Joker, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Enchantress, Rick Flagg and Killer Croc - who are all willing to band together and save the world, even if they die trying.
Lucky fans in attendance at San Diego's Comic-Con on Saturday got their first look at the much anticipated super-villain movie.
Suicide Squad may have another month of filming left, but that didn't stop the movie’s stars as well as director David Ayer from taking a road trip to Comic Con this weekend, to wet fan’s appetites for the highly anticipated super-villain flick.
The cast of Suicide Squad.
Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Cara Delevingne Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Common, Adam Beach, Ike Barinholz, Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje and Karen Fukuhara were all in attendance for the film’s panel on Saturday, with Joker Jared Leto the only noticeable absentee.
Despite the promotional materials already out there, including the pictures of the cast in full costume, the director assures fans that all plot twists are intact.
There’s been quite a number of photos and teasers over the last month or so from the set of Suicide Squad that have been endlessly pored over, but director David Ayer has assured fans that they haven’t given anything away and that there’s still surprises to come.
The Warner Bros.-backed movie wrapped up shooting on the streets of Toronto last week, and the 47 year old director took to Twitter to say that the surprises that the film has in store for fans remain intact, and have not been compromised in any way by the large amount of material already in the public arena.
'Suicide Squad' director David Ayer
'Suicide Squad' director David Ayer tweeted a couple of exclusive cast pics, featuring Will Smith and Cara Delevingne, in full costume.
DC Comics fans, stop what you’re doing and pay attention! Suicide Squad director David Ayers has shared the first official photographs of the main cast in full costume on Twitter, including Will Smith as Deadshot.
The movie, whose release is still fifteen months away, concerns a motley crew of supervillains who conduct covert operations on behalf of the US government in exchange for receiving cuts to the lengths of their prison sentences. Ayer's photos are the first opportunity for fans of the comic books to get a flavour of the visual aesthetics that the director will be bringing to the picture.

As he was, Jared before going full on Joker
Director David Ayer shared the first official image of Leto in full on Joker garb on Friday, on the 75th anniversary of the character’s first comic book appearance. Don't worry, Jared Leto is still playing the Joker.
Jared Leto as the Joker - I was into it from the word "go," but now we even have a first look picture to get the online convo going. The actor's look for Suicide Squad calls back to an earlier Joker from the comic book universe.
Where is Jared?
The square hairdo and blurry, 80s-looking filter add a nice arty touch, but the camera Leto is holding seems to call back to one of the character's most iconic covers -The Killing Joke. It's one of the few origin stories for the Joker. The pic was tweeted on Thursday by Suicide Squad director David Ayer, who added the hashtag #whereisjared.

Kim Kardashian makes a dramatic style move - but who else has recently gone blonde?
Kim Kardashian's debuts her latest fashion move, sporting a head of significantly shorter but freshly dyed blonde locks as she spends quality time with her husband Kanye West in France during Paris Fashion Week. It's a style that's been dividing opinion this week.
Kim Kardashian sports a new style
Kim may have shocked us in skin-tight pink Latex back in February, but the reality star hasn't stopped there. Her latest daring venture has been to bleach her much envied brunette hair - as well as chop half of it off. It'll definitely take some getting used to but we think the curvy star has proved she can just about pull off anything; perhaps she was inspired by her famous mermaid Halloween costume (which people are still talking about) from 2012, where her blonde curls drew many eyes on her.
R.I.P. the most luscious locks in Hollywood...
It had to happen one day, but we’re still deeply sadden to report that Jared Leto’s long, shiny, ombré-d locks are unfortunately no more. Against our wishes, the 43 year old actor took a trip to the hairdressers yesterday, in preparation for his upcoming role as The Joker in David Ayer's Suicide Squad movie.
Before the chop, Jared with hair and beard in tact.
Oscar winner Leto was just as well known for his luscious mane as he was for his acting talents, so the loss of his locks has hit fans hard. The handsome actor has sported the long haired look since 2012, though he has previously rocked a shorter style and even had a pink mohican in 2010.
