January Jones has replaced Alice Eve in the cast of 'X-Men: First Class' after the British actress was unable to commit to the movie's schedule.
January Jones has joined the cast of 'X-Men: First Class'.
The 'Mad Men' actress is replacing British star Alice Eve in the project as telepath Emma Frost, as she was unable to commit to the schedule of the movie, which is due to begin shooting in September.
According to Deadline, Lenny Kravtiz's daughter Zoe has also joined the cast to play Angel, who has traditionally been a male mutant.
Jones will begin shooting the project as soon as she has finished shooting on the fourth season of 'Mad Men' at the beginning of September.
Despite being best known for her role as Betty Draper in 'Mad Men', Jones has appeared in a number of other projects including 'Love Actually' in 2003 and 'The Boat That Rocked' in 2009 with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Bill Nighy.
'X-Men: First Class', which tells the tale of the early relationship between Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr, features an all star cast including Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Kevin Bacon.
