American football bosses have called off this year's (04) big kick-off concert - because they don't want a repeat of Janet Jackson's controversial half-time Super Bowl performance.

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE (NFL) commissioner PAUL TAGLIABUE has put an end to the two season-old free event - which saw Bon Jovi play in New York (02) and Britney Spears, Aretha Franklin and Aerosmith in Washington (03) - because he doesn't want to risk further uproar.

Tagliabue is described as being "incensed" by Jackson's breastbaring shocker last month (FEB04), for which he had to answer tough questions in front of the US Congress in Washington DC.
