Jane Krakowski, the 42-year-old American actress best known for her role on 30 ROCK, is expecting her first child with the British born clothing designer ROBERT GODLEY, reports E! News. However, speaking on the red carpet at Sunday night's GOLDEN GLOBES (16th January 2011) Krakowski confirmed that Tina Fey and the show's writers will not be incorporating the pregnancy into upcoming storylines.
The actress, who showed-off her baby-bump at Sunday's ceremony, joked about her character 'Jenna Maroney', saying "It isn't because nobody thinks that Jenna would be a very fit mother!" Speaking later in the evening, 40-year-old Fey agreed, saying, "I don't think we'll use it, only because so many characters are having babies on the show this year - Jack's character is having a baby, Tracy is. Also her character would be the most terrible mother in the world, the state would have to come and take her baby away!" Many of the show's award winning cast have their contracts ending this year but Fey confirmed that they hope to persuade Alec Baldwin to stay on, staying, "I don't know, maybe we'll get him to sign up for one more year. We'll just offer some more of NBC's money I hope!".
Krakowski, who recently won a TONY AWARD for her performance in the musical film 'Nine' and an OLIVIER AWARD for the West End production of 'Guys and Dolls', became engaged to Godley over the 2009 Christmas holiday.
