Actor James Woods is urging his fellow Hollywood celebrities to get to know
their fans - by driving across America.
The 57-year-old screen star enjoys regular road trips across the US, and
he believes there'd be less ignorance towards those in the middle of the
country if people took the trouble to visit.
He says, "I don't know why I like it so much, but one of the things is I
meet some of the most remarkable people.
"There's a snide expression that people in my business use for every place
between Los Angeles and New York - they call it 'flyover country'.
"My advice to them is if they drove there once in a while, they might
actually meet the people that pay their salaries. And if they met the people
that pay their salaries they might start making better movies."
