James Van Der Beek has got married.

The former 'Dawson's Creek' star announced on twitter he had tied the knot with Kimberly Brook - who he is expecting his first child with - yesterday (01.08.10), just a week after reaching a divorce settlement with former spouse Heather McComb.

He posted: "Best day of my life so far.

"The woman I love did me the honor of became my wife today... I look forward to earning her for the rest of my life. (sic)"

The 33-year-old actor met Kimberly while holidaying in Israel last July.

It has not yet been revealed where the couple chose to host their nuptials, or who was on the guest list.

The 'Varsity Blues' star also took to twitter earlier this year to announce Kimberly's pregnancy.

Last November, James filed for divorce from estranged wife Heather, who he initially separated from in June 2009.

He filed papers at a Los Angeles court citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the end of their six-year marriage.

James and Heather tied the knot in Malibu in 2003, six months after the sixth and final season of 'Dawson's Creek' aired.
