Gavin & Stacey actress Joanna Page has given birth to her first child, welcoming Eva Madelief Russell on Friday, February 15, 2013. The 34-year-old actress, who played Stacey in the hugely successful BBC comedy series, is married to former Emmerdale actor James Thornton.

Page announced the news on Twitter, telling followers, "We are delighted to announce that Eva Madelief Russell was born 15th Feb,10:58am, weighing 6lbs 8ozs at The Lindo Wing. She's adorable!" Page, who lives in Oxfordshire with husband James, recently appeared in ITV drama The Syndicate and Sky drama Gates, with Tom Ellis. She gave birth at the private maternity unit in St Mary's Hospital, London. James, Joanna's husband of nine years, also tweeted of his delight, saying he was "over the moon," after becoming a father. He also revealed that baby Eva weighed in at a modest 6lbs 8ozs!

An American version of Gavin & Stacey - renamed Friends & Family - is currently in the casting process, with Parenthood star Jason Ritter thought to be on-board. The original show followed the long-distance relationship of Gavin (Matthew Horne) from Essex and Stacey (Page) from Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan. Writers James Corden and Ruth Jones also co-starred as Gavin and Stacey's respective best friends.

Among Giants Review

Bad
I'm not going to try and pretend I know what director Sam Miller was going for with this movie, a perversely asinine look at an off-the-books hiring of Pete Postlethwaite and crew to paint the power line towers in a rural section of England. Featuring scenes like Postlethwaite and Rachel Griffiths running around naked under the dripping water inside a silo are only one of the things that make Among Giants not only a silly attempt at filmmaking but also an utter bore.

Among Giants Review

Good

One of those struggling-class, slice-of-life, gray comedies that the Englishseem to be cranking out at a rate of six or seven a year lately, "AmongGiants" has the significant advantage of having been written by SimonBeufoy, who penned >"The Full Monty," this genre's biggest hit.

It also boasts a pair of engrossingly honest, emotionallyraw but reserved performances by Pete Postlethwaite ("Romeo+ Juliet" and the similarly themed "BrassedOff") and Rachel Griffiths ("Hilary and Jackie"), starring as the foreman of a handyman crew and the backpackingnomad whose feelings for him have her thinking about staying put for thefirst time in her life.
