Internet users in the U.K. visit online video sites more often than they do their email providers, Home Media magazine reported on Wednesday, citing a study by London-based Experian Hitwise. According to the study U.K. Internet users registered 785 million visits to online video sites in September, up 36 percent from the same month a year ago. The leading site -- as it is in the U.S. -- was YouTube, followed by the BBC's iPlayer and ITV Player. Also popular was Videozer, MSN Video, and Hulu. The massive number of visitors to those sites, said James Murray, marketing research analyst with Experian, "represents a huge opportunity to the savvy marketer."
