British singer James Morrison is recovering well from a severe throat infection which prompted the cancellation of his U.K. tour.
The Wonderful World hitmaker was forced to postpone a string of dates on doctors' orders this month (Feb12) and apologised to fans for the inconvenience.
He has now rearranged the gigs and is feeling "much better" after taking time off to recover.
A statement posted on his official website on Thursday (23Feb12) reads, "We're very pleased to announce the rescheduled dates for the five U.K. shows which James was forced to postpone due to a severe throat infection (thanks for all your good wishes about that - he's already starting to feel much better after giving his voice a proper rest).
"Tickets for original dates will remain valid for that same venue, or can be returned to (the) point of purchase for a refund."
The February (12) gigs which were scrapped, in British cities including Nottingham, Bristol and Leeds, will now take place in June, July and August. Morrison is next due onstage at the Dubai Jazz Festival in the United Arab Emirates on Friday (24Feb12).
