James Franco has become embroiled in a public spat with a Yale student who criticised his style of 'tweeting'.
James Franco, the American actor who garnered negative reviews for his hosting of the Academy Awards on Sunday (27th February 2011), has slammed a student newspaper writer who criticised his Twitter page, reports CBS News.Franco, who is pursuing a doctorate degree in English at the university, has reacted to a campus newspaper writer who published an article mocking his social networking skills. Yale Daily News writer Cokey Cohen wrote "James Franco, your Twitter sort of sucks" in a blog piece headlined, 'Franco, #getittogether'. The 20-year-old English major argued that the 127 Hours star should do more than post "random links to pictures and replies to other celebrities". However, Franco responded furiously to the criticism, tweeting a picture of himself alongside the words, "F--- The Yale Daily News". Cohen reacted to the tweet by blogging, "Combined with his Oscars hosting performance and in accordance with the opinion of commenter's on my last blog, I'm becoming convinced that James Franco's whole life is a form of postmodern performance art".
