Actor James Franco has turned his TV soap finale into an odd art exhibition after shooting his last episode of General Hospital at Los Angeles' Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA).
The Spider-Man star persuaded TV bosses to transfer four sets to MOCA for a live taping of his finale on Thursday (24Jun10) for an ambitious performance art project called Soap at MOCA.
The 100-plus fans in attendance will make up part of the exhibition, which will feature the taping of the show and the episode after it airs on 22 July (10).
Franco's Milk director Gus Van Sant was among the audience members, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Explaining his art exhibition, Franco says, "It's an episode from General Hospital, which is a soap opera. And, within the soap opera, it's an art show."
