The singer proved her haters wrong by singing along with James Corden.
Britney SpearsBritney Spears hit 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' this week to get involved in his much-loved segment 'Carpool Karaoke'. In a recent preview for the segment, she was mocked for miming along to her 2004 song 'Toxic', but now it seems it was all a lot of fuss over nothing.
Britney Spears sings with James Corden on Carpool Karaoke
She didn't mime the whole way through it, as was initially believed in the preview clip, but she rarely managed to sing through the entirety of a song, unlike her male counterpart who seriously gave it his all. There's always the possibility that she's forgotten the words, which would explain the frequent accusations for miming on stage too.

Viewers are exasperated that she doesn't sing along to 'Toxic'.
Britney Spears is set to appear on 'The Late Late Show' with James Corden for his much-loved Carpool Karaoke segment. He released a little taster clip of what to expect from his latest guest, which appears to be not a lot of singing - well, not from the popstar anyway.
Britney Spears mimes on Carpool Karaoke
The 'Make Me...' singer will be appearing on tomorrow's episode (August 25th 2016). In the one minute teaser clip, James plays her number one 2004 hit 'Toxic' from her 'In The Zone' album and sings along, as Britney mimes. It's unclear whether or not this is a fair representation of her conduct throughout the whole episode, but people have sure been mocking her for it over social media.
Britney is well known for frequently miming at her concerts, particularly during her latest Las Vegas residency 'Piece Of Me'. Plus, a couple of years ago, a version of Britney singing 'Alien' without autotune surfaced, and it was bad. Like real bad. Though producers from the album later defended her, saying that it was actually a vocal warm-up session. Which we can believe, seeing as we have heard her sing live before. Perhaps 'Toxic' was just too much to ask.
It's not as though you have to be an amazing singer to be on Carpool Karaoke though. First Lady Michelle Obama gave it her all singing along to Stevie Wonder's 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours', Beyonce's 'All The Single Ladies' and Missy Elliott's 'Get Your Freak On', and it was probably the best episode ever.

In the video, they also talk about Britney's 'almost identical' children Sean and Jayden, and what it's like for them to watch their scantily clad mother dancing about in her Las Vegas shows. 'I saw my mum in her underwear once when I was, like, 11', James confesses with a cringe. 'I can't shake the image from my brain.'
Britney is about to release her ninth studio album 'Glory' via RCA Records, featuring the single 'Make Me...' with G-Eazy, as well as promotional releases 'Clumsy' and 'Do You Wanna Come Over?'.
'Glory' will be released on August 26th 2016.

Jennifer Lopez became the latest superstar to take a singalong car ride with James Corden in the newest ‘Carpool Karaoke’, which aired during the ‘Late Late Show’s’ primetime special on Tuesday night, celebrating the show’s one year anniversary. J-Lo’s car ride was full of memorable moments, including her dismissing rumours of having her butt insured and Corden texting Leonardo Dicaprio.
The 'Carpool Karaoke' segment of Corden's 'Late Late Show' has proved to be a spectacular viral success.
Having presented ‘The Late Late Show’ for nearly a year, one aspect of James Corden’s reign on CBS has proved particularly popular – his ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment, which sees him drive around Los Angeles with celebrities belting out pop songs, and interviewing them about their career in his affable style.
With dozens of episodes having gone viral on YouTube, attracting more than 412 million hits, new reports have emerged that the 37 year old British presenter and his producer, Ben Winston, are pitching ‘Carpool Karaoke’ to networks and studio executives as a stand-alone show.

You might not be able to see her face, but Sia’s voice is unmistakable.
Sia was the guest on Tuesday evening, for the latest edition of Carpool Karaoke on James Corden’s ‘Late Late Show’. While the Australian singer didn’t show her face, she did belt out some of her biggest hits along with Rihanna’s ‘Diamond’, in-between talking about aliens and her famous wigs.
The singer was forced to cancel her appearance at the last minute on doctor’s orders.
Last night’s Grammy awards was jam-packed with superstar performances, from Lady Gaga to Adele, but there was one big name noticeably absent, Rihanna. Rihanna had been scheduled to perform new song ‘Kiss it Better’ at the ceremony, but she was forced to back out at the last minute due to an infection. But what makes it all the more disappointing is now talk show host James Corden has spilled on what we missed out on from Rihanna at Monday night's awards.
Rihanna was forced to pull out of last night’s Grammy awards.
Speaking during 'The Late Late Show' after the Grammys Corden revealed: “A couple of weeks ago, I got asked if I would introduce Rihanna on the show. I get this phone call saying Rihanna has got this big thing planned for her song 'Kiss It Better' and she's doing like a whole '80s talk show thing and it's going to be really cool.”
Bieber joined Corden for a third appearance, as the pair rushed to make it to the Grammy awards on time.
You wouldn't think that Justin Bieber would need a lift to the Grammys but on Monday evening the 21-year-old carpooled his way to the awards ceremony with friend James Corden, for his third ‘Carpool Karaoke’ appearance. The pair belted out Bruno Mars' ‘Uptown Funk’ during the drive, as the rushed to make it to the show on time.
James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke is becoming quite popular and celebrities appear to be flocking to join in the fun. This time Sir Elton John himself got into the car groove and had a little singalong with the Late Late Show presenter.
Elton John had a good singalong in James Corden's Carpool Karaoke
Corden picked up the singer - known for his song writing talents and flamboyant fashion style in equal measure - in a rainy Los Angeles and the duo got down to it with fancy feather boas as they belted out hits including Tiny Dancer and the Circle of Life from The Lion King.

The pair re-enacted Crawford's famous 1992 Pepsi advert on 'The Late Late Show' post-Super Bowl special.
The 49 year old, who earlier in February suggested that she would imminently be retiring from modelling, was a guest on the British host’s ‘Late Late Show’, which aired just a couple of hours after the conclusion of Super Bowl 50 on Sunday night (February 7th). Crawford and Corden had teased the parody last week, and it finally aired on the special edition of the Brit’s show.
The 37 year old British host, now more than six months into his tenure as ‘Late Late Show’ host, hilariously managed to squeeze into the same tight white vest and denim shorts as Crawford. In the video, he gallantly helps Ms. Crawford retrieve the can of Pepsi stuck in a vending machine.

The funniest Carpool Karaoke so far.
We take it all back. We honestly thought James Corden's Carpool Karaoke couldn't get any better than the Adele edition. We were wrong. Coldplay's Chris Martin has never made us laugh this much before as he made his debut on the segment as part of Corden's CBS program 'The Late Late Show'.
James Corden and Chris Martin make the best team
So it started off with Chris literally hitching a lift to the Super Bowl in San Francisco where he's due to perform this weekend. James is willing to help him out, but clearly doesn't realise how many miles they need to cover. They're Brits in the US after all, and not so used to such massive distances people have to travel by road. Another thing they don't understand is the Super Bowl itself, which Chris hilariously tries to explain and ends up mashing together the rules of several different sports including baseball and tennis.
Carpool Karaoke at its best.
The next edition of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke looks to be an exciting one, as Chris Martin hitchhikes to the Super Bowl in San Francisco for his performance at the weekend. It's always funny when it's all Brits together, but can the pair stand more than 400 miles in a car together?
Chris Martin is the latest guest on Carpool Karaoke
A sneak peak of tonight's episode of 'The Late Late Show' on CBS has been unveiled, featuring snippets from James Corden's latest Carpool Karaoke. This time, he 'happens' to pick up Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in Los Angeles as he thumbs a lift holding a sign reading 'Superbowl San Francisco'.

During her ride along with James Corden, Adele belted out the Spice Girls and gave a word perfect rendition of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Monster’ rap.
James Corden’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment from the ‘Late Late Show’ never fails to disappoint, but this week he truly brought out the big guns when he was joined by Adele for an in-car sing-a-long. While Adele belted out some of her own classic hits, what was even more impressive was how good she proved to be at rapping and showing her girl power.
During the journey Adele spoke about being a huge Spice Girls fan back in the day (weren’t we all), adding, ‘It was a huge moment in my life when they came out. It was girl power, and it was these five ordinary girls who did so well and got out.”
Who knew just how multi-talented Adele really is?
It was very exciting to see a clip of Adele as the latest guest in 'The Late Late Show' host James Corden's Carpool Karaoke segment, but we had no idea it was going to be THIS awesome. A sneak preview saw her crooning out renditions of her own hits 'Hello' and 'Rolling In The Deep', but it only got better from there.
Adele opens up to James Corden in Carpool Karaoke
After James Corden hilariously introduced the clip by pretending to be on the phone to Adele using lines from her smash hit 'Hello' from the album '25', Adele joined him in the car for a singing session and a good chat as Carpool Karaoke hit the UK for the first time. 'It's such a shame that it's raining because I feel like Americans are going to assume that England is rubbish', Adele says. And so they follow up 'Hello' with a few more of her biggest vocal tunes: 'Someone like You', 'All I Ask' and 'Rolling In The Deep'.

One of the best Carpool sing-a-longs yet.
Ever wondered if Adele sings along to her own songs in the car like you do? Well, we can now reveal that she does indeed - at least, when James Corden is around. His latest edition of The Late Late Show's Carpool Karaoke hits the UK for one of the best singing sessions ever.
Adele joins James Corden for a sing-a-long
With the full clip set to hit the net later today (January 13th 2016), a quick look at the teaser video sees 'Late Late Show' host James Corden pretending to be on the phone to Adele, while speaking the words 'Hello, it's me. I was wondering after all these years if you'd like to meet? Hello from the outside', to much laughter from the studio audience.
In a special sketch at the start of 'The Late Late Show' on Thursday, Bieber performed part of Corden's opening monologue before being interrupted.
The curtains went up at the start of last night’s episode (December 10th) to reveal not the 37 year old English presenter, but the 21 year old pop megastar instead. Things progressed completely as normal, with Bieber not even acknowledging the change, as he launched straight into the customary monologue.

After loosing a game of tattoo roulette, it was time for Harry to get some new ink.
One Direction star Harry Styles has added some unexpected ink to his already sizeable collection of tattoos. Styles, along with the rest of the One Direction boys, played a game of ‘tattoo roulette’ live on James Corden’s ‘Late Late Show’ on Thursday with the looser getting inked on live tv.
Harry Styles now has one more tattoo.
The ‘Deal Or No Deal’ style game saw each of the band members along with host Corden pick a red box, to see who would get the ink. Four of the boxes contained the word ‘safe’ while the other said ‘tattoo’.

Maggie Smith couldn't be more perfect for the title role in this film if it were written for her. But the most astounding thing about this story is that it's true, an event from playwright-screenwriter Alan Bennett's own life. The film cleverly plays with the idea of a writer telling his own story. And it also gives Smith an unforgettable role in a movie that's both entertaining and sharply pointed.
It happened in 1970 Camden, as neighbours worried about a homeless woman parking her van in front of their houses. She turns out to be Mary Shepard (Smith), and resident Alan Bennett (Alex Jennings) offers to let her park her van in his driveway for a few months. She stayed there for 15 years, during which Alan refuses to pry into Mary's personal life and she turns a blind eye to the steady flow of young gentleman callers at his door. Even so, over the years Alan learns some details about Mary's past as a musician, ambulance driver and nun, and that she became homeless because she was on the run from the police.
Bennett takes a cheeky approach to the script, writing two versions of himself: one who lives his life and one who writes about it. The interaction between the two is cleverly played by Jennings and directed with offhanded hilarity by Hytner, who shot the movie in the actual street and house where the events took place. Jennings also adds some emotional interest in Alan's relationship with his mother (Gwen Taylor), who ironically has to move into a nursing home. Opposite him, Smith is as magnetic as ever, reeling off each pithy one-liner with impeccable timing. The role may not seem like much of a stretch, but she delivers it with a prickly mix of attitude and humour, plus a strong undercurrent of pathos.

Late-night talk shows rarely receive the much-sought after timeslots, but CBS has trusted their two brand new presenters with the task.
The network revealed on Wednesday (November 11th) that Colbert’s ‘The Late Show’ would broadcast live with a one-hour special after the fiftieth edition of the NFL showcase finishes on February 7th, 2016. It was also announced that James Corden, who has the programming timeslot directly after Colbert with ‘The Late Late Show’, will be getting the chance to broadcast a special edition of his show after the local news.

The unlikely duo have covered Yazoo's Only You
Three of the most unlikely things have come together to make everyone’s Christmas complete. Firstly, take Pop Princess With the Perfect Bottom, Kylie Minogue. Then add a little British Comedian Gone Across The Pond, James Corden. Finally, sprinkle a bit of 1980s Yazoo and you’ve got a delightful new Christmas cover single.

We’re already grimacing at the prospect of an American remake of The Inbetweeners, but us Brits should perhaps be more worried that the US is also making what is effectively a Stateside version of one of our most British of comedies, Gavin & Stacey.
The trailer for Us And Them has been revealed and we’re really not sure about it, even though it does star Alexis Bledel and Jason Ritter. Ok, so the American Office ended up being a surprise success, and we have to hand it to them for pulling it off, but an American Inbetweeners? Gavin & Stacey? They go too far. As usual it looks like the comedy is going to lose all its subtlety with everything glammed up somewhat in what in the UK was traditionally a pretty humble, sweet natured comedy even as it made stars of Matt Horne and James Corden.

Ben Howard Is Surprise Winner In Otherwise Bland Brit Awards, 2013
Last night’s Brits ceremony could well have been the blandest Brits in years. Aside from a frisson of post-breakup tension between Harry Styles and Taylor Swift (who took to the stage wearing a sexy black hot-pant jumpsuit with gold embellishments) there was little in the way of shock, surprises, or backstage gossip (or if there is, it hasn’t made it’s way down to us yet!).
The details of this year's Brit Awards goody bag has been revealed. It includes a Treehouse holiday.
Adele, Mumford & Sons, Emeli Sande, blah, blah, blah: nobody really cares who walks away with the Brit Awards right? Lets face it, we tune in every year in the hope of some clunky presenting, a stiletto heel break, or a wardrobe malfunction. However, something else that appears to be of interest before every Brit Awards ceremony is the shadowy goody bags that each nominee and performer gets to take home. The Academy Awards put the stoppers on their Oscars gift bags years ago, owing totax concerns, but the British don't care about that. The Brit Awards goody bags and back - but what's in them this year?
Well, according to ceremony organizers, the biggest names in pop music will be taking home a Lucky Voice Karaoke Kit, in order to practise at home, we assume. For the girls, there's also a Jack French London Primrose Bag, while for the boys, it's a Twenty8 signature bag from The London Collection. Elsewhere, there's a Paperblanks journal ensuring telephone numbers can by duly scribbled down at the after-party, and there's also some Highland Angel cufflinks and Ti Senti Milani jewellery. Fancy.
Hey, there's also a scarf (for the cold weather) and some bamboo sunglasses (for the hot weather), as well as JBL headphones and a JBL 'flip' portable wireless stereo system. Should - heaven forbid - any of the celebrities forget to shower themselves in perfume and aftershave, the goody bag contains a Hugo Boss fragrance for the guys, and a Boss Nuit perfume for the ladies.

The BRIT Awards 2013 takes place tonight, but could they be doing so without their host James Corden? Reports suggest that the comedian and actor has developed a throat infection this week, placing his participation in jeopardy.
Yesterday (February 18, 2013) The Daily Mirror reported a source as telling them about the illness, in a manner that suggested him dropping out wasn’t out of the question. “James has suffered with it in the past so recognised the symptoms straightaway” they apparently said. "He knew he had to act fast and rest immediately to stop the viral infection developing any further” they continued, before adding “James has been really excited about presenting the Brit awards and doesn’t want to have to pull out so getting better in time for the big night is his number one priority.”

Gavin & Stacey actress Joanna Page has given birth to her first child, welcoming Eva Madelief Russell on Friday, February 15, 2013. The 34-year-old actress, who played Stacey in the hugely successful BBC comedy series, is married to former Emmerdale actor James Thornton.
Page announced the news on Twitter, telling followers, "We are delighted to announce that Eva Madelief Russell was born 15th Feb,10:58am, weighing 6lbs 8ozs at The Lindo Wing. She's adorable!" Page, who lives in Oxfordshire with husband James, recently appeared in ITV drama The Syndicate and Sky drama Gates, with Tom Ellis. She gave birth at the private maternity unit in St Mary's Hospital, London. James, Joanna's husband of nine years, also tweeted of his delight, saying he was "over the moon," after becoming a father. He also revealed that baby Eva weighed in at a modest 6lbs 8ozs!
An American version of Gavin & Stacey - renamed Friends & Family - is currently in the casting process, with Parenthood star Jason Ritter thought to be on-board. The original show followed the long-distance relationship of Gavin (Matthew Horne) from Essex and Stacey (Page) from Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan. Writers James Corden and Ruth Jones also co-starred as Gavin and Stacey's respective best friends.

What is it about London's Groucho Club that has celebrities returning week-in-week-out? Harry Styles, the youngest member of One Direction, turns 19-years-old today (January 31, 2013) and chose London's hippest venue as the place to party with ex-girlfriends Caroline Flack and Cara Devalinge and pals James Corden and Nick Grimshaw on Thursday evening. The boys had started the evening at a Mexican restaurant, but all roads led to London's most infamous hangout - an unassuming members' club in the heart of London's Soho district.
Caroline Flack turned up wearing a red fur jacket and some futuristic heels, while Cara opted for leather trousers and a striped jacket following an appearance at Burberry's bash at their flagship store in Regent Street. Harry and Caroline have been close since they dated for three-months when he was 17, with the Xtra Factor presenter describing him as "brilliant and so much fun." On Thursday, Styles opted for a weird looking shiny blazer, while Radio 1 breakfast DJ Grimshaw went for a fitted black jacket. In all fairness, Corden was probably the best dressed of the guys, in jeans, a shirt and smart sweater.
British star James Corden says he's still holding out for a role on Lena Dunham's Golden Globe winning comedy series Girls. The Gavin & Stacey actor was sounded out by Dunham and co-writer Jenni Konner for the first series, though his commitments to Broadway show One Man, Two Guvnors meant he was unable to take part.
The 34-year-old says he's still keen to hook up with Dunham - considered one of the most exciting writing talents in television. "I was approached to be in the first series but had to decline due to work commitments; I really hope it works out that I can be in the show in the future. I think working with Lena would be an amazing experience," Corden told Company magazine. The season two premiere of Girls aired on Sunday (January 13, 2013) to unanimous praise from critics. It follows the story of various twenty-somethings living in New York City, though without the glitz and glamour of Sex and the City, Gossip Girl and the like. Corden added, "Girls is smart, funny, moving and completely original. Lena Dunham has written a show about real people in real situations, and the best thing about it is that real people love it. It also has - what I think to be - one of the best male performances ever by Adam, played by Adam Driver. His performance is so captivating and brilliant."
Writer Konner revealed he had approached Corden for the show having become "obsessed" with Gavin & Stacey, the BBC comedy that made the actor a household name.

Jack Whitehall is reportedly under pressure to stand down as presenter of a prize at the National Television Awards later in January following complaints about his performance on Channel 4's Big Fat Quiz Of The Year. His suitability for the appearance was called in question by NTA presenter George Mitchell who told the Daily Mail (who else?) that he wanted to hold a "summit conference" to decide if Whitehall should still be invited.
The furore began when an indignant article in the aforementioned newspaper criticised Channel 4's broadcast. It slammed lewd jokes about The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, President Barack Obama, sprinter Usain Bolt and the singer Susan Boyle. Mitchell said he feared the controversy could "run and run" and offered Whitehall "the chance to withdraw."
However, creator and executive producer of the NTA (i.e, somebody with more power than Mitchell) told The Independent, "Contrary to spurious reports earlier today, I would like to confirm that there has been no crisis summit over Jack Whitehall's invitation to present an award at this year's National Television Awards. We are very much looking forward to welcoming him on January 23 for our live show."
Channel 4 must be breathing a huge sigh of relief that they didn’t decide to invite Frankie Boyle on this year’s Big Fat Quiz show, because they’ve managed to cause enough controversy, without having the sharp-tongued Scotsman on board. This year, the damage has been done largely by Jack Whitehall and James Corden, who were openly drinking a bottle of red wine throughout the show and made a number of crude jokes about The Queen, as well as Barack Obama and Susan Boyle.
Lord Burns, the chairman of Channel 4, declined the opportunity to speak to the Daily Mail about the show, but the British newspaper is up in arms about its distasteful content. The outrage has spread beyond the press, though, with Tory MP Conor Burns – a member of the Commons’ culture media and sport select committee – demanding to know why the show was aired as early as 9pm. “I actually watched some of the broadcast because we are staying with family for the holidays and I found it quite distasteful,” said the MP. “It was base, unfunny comedy and in some ways I thought its greater crime really was that it just wasn’t funny.”
At one point during the show, James Corden and Jack Whitehall attempted to cover up one of their answers, aware that it was inappropriate, but eventually revealed what they had written on the screen anyway. A sample of the ‘vulgar’ comedy on display during the quiz was Whitehall’s comment about Cary Rae Jepsen: “If you had given your number to someone like Carly Rae Jepsen and discovered how annoying she was, you would suck someone’s c*** to get rid of her.”
James Corden’s stuttering performance under pressure at last year’s BRIT Awards ultimately hasn’t ruined his chances of being asked back, with the event confirming that the actor and comedian will be returning to host the music awards in 2013.
The televised awards descended into controversy this year after Corden was ordered by production to tell best British album winner Adele to cut her acceptance speech short so that they’d have time to show all of Blur’s performance. Unhappy with that, Adele flipped the bird at the cameras and the event came under criticism for essentially telling the night’s biggest winner to get off stage.
Corden will be hoping that there’ll be no repeat of that this time round, with the organizers having hopefully learnt their lesson. In addition to his confirmation to return, organizers have also revealed that Damien Hirst will follow in the footsteps of Sir Peter Blake and Dame Vivienne Westwood in designing the statuette to be handed out to winners in 2013. According to the Telegraph, BRITS chairman David Joseph said: "We are delighted that Damien will become the third extraordinary creative Briton to re-imagine the Brit statue. He is truly one of the most important British artists ever and his unique vision will make winning a 2013 Brit an even more special proposition."
Is an x factor 2012 boycott on the cards? According to the Daily Record, a huge number of fans, including some celebrity viewers of the show – have decided that after last Sunday’s fiasco (October 7, 2012), they will no longer tune into the show. 'X Factor' has been plagued with allegations of results fixing, since one of the show’s producer’s was seen “crawling along the studio floor to have a word” with X Factor judge Louis Walsh.
Louis initially seemed to opt to save Carolynne Poole, from Leeds who was undoubtedly the more talented singer in the sing-off. However, Louis then back-pedalled and eventually said that he wanted to the vote to go to a deadlock, meaning that camp Rylan got through on public votes. Fans of the show were outraged; the actress Tamsin Outhwaite vowed not to watch the show again, saying “I feel free knowing I will never watch 'X Factor' again after last night’s fiasco. My weekends are mine again.” The comedian James Corden also branded the decision ”bullsh*t.”
The producer who spoke to Walsh during the sing-off was 62 year-old Richard Holloway. He released a statement to defend himself and the show against allegations of fixing, which read “We regularly chat to the judges during the show…On Sunday I was telling Louis the order the judges would vote in. We don’t tell the judges how to vote.” A show source said that Sunday night’s show had been “a shambles.” This could go either way for 'X Factor'. Disgruntled pessimists convinced of foul play may decide to leave the house for a change on a Saturday night. On the other hand, the rest of the country might start tuning in to see what all this fuss is about. And many viewers will simply want to see if Gary Barlow has stopped sulking about it all, yet.
