British singer James Blunt has launched a scathing attack on his country's government for not doing enough to help injured army veterans. The former soldier has hit out at Prime Minister Gordon Brown's Labour government for not providing adequate funding for soldiers injured in warfare. He says, "The government have (sic) a record of not providing adequate funds for equipment or care for soldiers who don't come back in one piece. "We ask a lot of our soldiers, sailors and airmen - but at the same time they get less and less." He adds, "We often talk about whether we should be in Iraq and Afghanistan but forget what it means for the men and women actually doing it. "They are just doing their job - any job the country sends them on."
