James Arthur's braces have improved his singing.
The 2012 'X Factor' winner recently had the dental aid fitted to help straighten his ''very British teeth'' and rather than hamper his vocal performances they have made them better.
The 25-year-old star told BANG Showbiz: ''They don't affect my singing, if anything they have made my singing better, because I'm more focused on my diction. More so than I used to be, because I know that it can affect your diction so I'm thinking about that a little bit more.
''They definitely are uncomfortable and I can't wait to get them off in December and have a bit of work done, and then have teeth that I'm happy with.''
Although they are doing great things for his singing, James admits on occasions they have affected his kissing ability.
He quipped: ''Sometimes you can get gets cuts when kissing. I was kissing a girl and I did have a little cut on my mouth and it kept getting caught and it wasn't comfortable. So I had to stop kissing her.''
