James Apollo has just dropped his new video for the '2x2' single, set to appear on the Damien Jurado produced Little War, Little Less album, due out on June 5th. Shot around New Orleans, the video appropriately showcases Apollo's Cat Stevens-cum-Tom Waits style. Directed by Jason Affolder, the video uses nostalgic filming methods to capture the artist as he wanders the streets of the famous US city, with pit-stops coming in the form of the Baton Rouge area to name but a few.
Apollo himself is a self confessed fan of aimless wandering, so it comes as no surprise that he and his band, The Sweet Unknown, have spent a long time out of the studio to wow audiences across the US and Europe, wandering off by himself a few times in the process. After barely surviving a motorcycle accident in 2010, he and his band were placed on hiatus while he recovered, but now he is back and with '2x2' we have our first glimpse into what we can expect from the returning artist. Apollo and the rest of his band are currently locked away in a studio somewhere as they put the finishing touches the their upcoming album.
