Jake Gyllenhaal got huge adrenaline rushes while working on 'Prince of Persia: Sands of Time' because of the ''epic'' nature of the movie.
The 29-year-old actor - who plays lead character Prince Dastan in the movie - confesses filming was exhilarating for him and he enjoyed every aspect of creating the action drama.
Jake told BANG Showbiz: "This is and was while we were shooting it and continues to be for audiences all around the world such a huge, epic film that is...I've said this before but walking on to the set was like going to a sporting event. You felt like you were on the team. It took 40 minutes to put on your costume, at least it did for me, there were thousands of people there.
"But when it came down to doing the physical stuff you didn't really think about it because there was so much adrenaline going on."
The leading man - who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his portrayal of sexually confused cowboy Jack Twist in 2005's 'Brokeback Mountain' - also admits this film was "different" from his other projects.
He said: "For me, I was just excited all the time when I had to beat somebody up or jump off anything. It was just so much fun. And in that way I guess, different, from other films that I've done."
'Prince of Persia: Sands of Time - based on the Prince of Persia computer games - is released in the UK on May 28.
