Jaime King says her attitude to life has completely changed since she became a mother last October to her son James.
Jaime King says her son is the most important thing in her life now.
The 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' star welcomed her first child James - her son with husband Kyle Newman - into the world last October and since she became a mother all of her priorities changed.
Speaking in the new fashion issue of Vegas magazine, Jaime said: ''When you have a child, you realise that he's all that really matters. It's so easy to get caught up in the illusion of what this industry is all about, to get stuck on my personal hang-ups. But then I look at James and remember that tomorrow is a new day.''
As well as having a successful film career, the 35-year-old actress also has a lead role as Lemon Breeland, the daughter of town doctor Brick Breeland, in TV series 'Hart of Dixie'.
Jaime insists she is very proud of the part she plays, and believes no other actress could have brought Lemon to life as well as her.
She said: ''The more I thought about it, the more I realised that no one else could play her. I wanted to take a character that was, on paper, a very rigid classic Southern belle and turn her into someone whom you really understood. I wanted to show the root of where her fear came from - the loss of her mother, the concern about being abandoned, the idea that if she were perfect, she would be of value again.''
It took Jaime and her spouse Kyle four years to conceive their son James and the tot's godmother is Jaime's 'Sin City' co-star Jessica Alba.
