Childhood: Jaden Smith was born in Malibu, California. His parents are rapper turned actor Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett Smith. His brother Trey Smith and daughter Willow Smith are also actors. He and his siblings are ambassadors for Project Zambia which centres around African children who have been orphaned through AIDS.
Acting career: Jaden Smith made his film debut in 2006's 'The Pursuit of Happyness' as his father's onscreen son. He subsequently won an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. With Abigail Breslin, he presented two awards at the 79th Academy Awards. In 2008, he appeared in the remake of sci-fi movie 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' alongside Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly. In 2010, he starred in 'The Karate Kid' remake opposite Jackie Chan.
Musical career: Jaden Smith featured on Justin Bieber's song 'Never Say Never' released in 2011. He has since appeared on three more of his tracks. He released his first mixtape 'The Cool Café' in 2012.

A pic posted on Instagram by 17 year old Kylie Jenner has sparked an online feud with Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg who has accused the reality star of ‘appropriating black culture’. In the photo Kylie is seen showing off her toned midriff while wearing her hair in cornrows with the caption, ‘I woke up like disss’.

The pressing question of Amandla Stenberg’s prom date has been resolved in spectacular fashion. It was Jaden Smith. We’re guessing they were made the Best Dressed couple award. Amandla wore a a metallic lamé gown, while Will Smith's 16-year-old son, ever the eclectic dresser, wore what appears to be a black-and-white dress, topped with a black blazer. Amandla had also braided her hair with matching grey yarn, which looked awesomely futuristic in her instagram photos.
But seriously, did Amandla just skip the awkward stage, or what?
Judging by the insta-updates, they had the full prom experience – corsages and all. The caption to one photo described Jaden simply as a “gentleman”.

Mega cute couple alert! In the most adorable news we’ve heard all day, it seems one prom wasn’t enough for 16 year old actor Jaden Smith and this weekend he went to his second big dance of the season as the date of actress Amandla Stenberg, a.k.a. Rue from The Hunger Games.
The 16 year old is rumoured to have landed the lead role in the DC Comics adaptation 'Static Shock'.
His father has recently been cast as ‘Deadshot’ in the upcoming Warner Bros project Suicide Squad, and now it looks as if Jaden Smith is set to follow in his footsteps by landing a DC comic books adapation of his own. The 16 year old is rumoured to have been cast as the lead in the forthcoming flick Static Shock, though this has not yet been confirmed.
Actor Tyler James Williams let the rumour slip in a video interview with the blog ‘Flicks and the City’ on YouTube. “There aren’t many young black comic book superheroes,” Williams said when talking about the demographic make-up of blockbuster movies, and added, “it’s great to seeStatic Shock is happening with Jaden.”

Jada Smith spoke to photographers on Wednesday (7th May) about the controversial photograph of her daughter Willow and Moises Arias.
Jada Smith has reacted to a photograph her daughter Willow, aged 13, took whilst on a bed with a 20-year-old actor. The image was posted on actor Moises Arias’ Instagram account and showed Willow lying fully clothed on a bed whilst a shirtless Moises held a pillow behind his head whilst leaning on a wall. The picture has since been deleted due to the comments the image provoked on Twitter.
Willow Smith caused a minor scandal last week when Moises Arias posted a picture of the two on a bed.
Jada spoke to photographers awaiting her arrival at LAX. As TMZ reports, Jada said she was furious with the response from the press which has implied there was a sexual element to the picture. She said “There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation. You guys are projecting your trash onto it, and you’re acting like covert paedophiles, and that’s not cool.”

The annual Razzie Awards celebrated their 34th year of the most terrible movies during the year on Saturday in Los Angeles. There were quite a few movies that were nominated for awards which featured well-known actors. However, the worst movie of the year went to "Movie 43." Not to be outdone, the sci-fi movie "After Earth" was also a big winner. Both movies earned three Golden Raspberry Award Foundation prizes.

"Movie 43" also won an award for the worst director, which went to 13 people. It also won for the worst screenplay, awarded to the 19 people that took part in writing the film. The movie beat out "Grown-Ups 2," "The Lone Ranger," "A Madea Christmas" and "After Earth."

LaBeouf's got a friend in Smith, whether he wants to or not.
"I waited in line today on Beverly Blvd to see (Shia LaBeouf) I never got see him but I had a very important message to deliver... It was a message that only could be understood artist to artist... I'm here for you I believe in what your (you are) doing... I'm here if you need a fellow insane person to talk to. But I'm seriously here not like one of those 'I'm here for you's' that everybody says," Smith wrote in a series of tweets.

If Fallon was feeling nervous, he wasn't showing any signs as he leapt headfirst into his new job, performing a skit alongside Will Smith called "The Evolution of Hip Hop Dancing."
