Jada Pinkett-Smith's rumoured split from husband Will Smith is "definitely a possibility", according to Tmz.com. The A-list couple took the unusual step of responding to internet speculation on Wednesday (24th August 2011), claiming their marriage was "intact".
However, the website claims the couple are "having significant problems" but have not yet made a decision on whether to separate. A source close to the pair says it's "definitely a possibility". Tmz also claimed to have explored why the couple didn't go down a more traditional PR route and say they're "still in love" etc - a source told the website the language of the statement was carefully constructed. Will's son Trey, from his previous marriage, took to his Twitter page to deny the reports, saying, "BreakingNews: After 13 years of marriage, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have decided to separate - @intouchweekly Not True #ItsAllLies". The couple, who married on New Year's Eve in 1997, first met on the set of the 1990 cult sitcom 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air'. They have two children together, 13-year-old Jayden Smith, who starred in the recent 'Karate Kid' movie and 10-year-old singing sensation Willow Smith.
Jada Pinkett-smith most recently starred in Tnt's medical-drama series 'Hawthorne'. She is currently working on the animated movie 'Madagascar 3', in which she voices the character of Gloria.
