French TV channel TF1 has recruited its first black presenter for their prime time 8pm news bulletin, after pressure from the country's President JACQUES CHIRAC. HARRY ROSELMACK, 32, joins the news show - the most watched current affairs broadcast in Europe - in July (06). The French leader was quick to respond to public concerns that, in the light of the multi-racial riots in Paris last November (05), French television failed to display cultural diversity when it came to presenters. And not only is Martinique-born Roselmack is a "very good journalist", according to TF1, he is also setting Gallic hearts a-flutter: one newspaper described him as "having the looks of a playboy, smiling and sexy".
