Jackie Jackson is looking forward to returning to New York's fabled Apollo Theatre on tour this summer (12), because the venue helped launch his career and has "special meaning" to the star and his siblings.
The existing members of the Jackson 5 will hit the road in June (12) for a 27-date trek across America, kicking off in in Louisville, Kentucky and including stops in Los Angeles, Tennessee and the Big Apple.
It will be the first time Jackson has toured with brothers Jermaine, Marlon and Tito since 1984 - and Jackie is excited about one stop in particular on the trek.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Playing at the Apollo Theater in New York has special meaning for us!"
The Jackson 5 went on to find fame after winning a singing competition at the Harlem venue in 1967.
