Jackie Chan is unsure if he'll be able to star in 'The Expendables 3'.

The action franchise's star and producer Sylvester Stallone previously revealed that the veteran martial artist will be in the next installment, but the actor has revealed that while he would love a role in the film, he is currently scheduled to shoot another movie.

He told Getty Images Entertainment: ''I would love to work with Stallone. I'm going to meet him and see what happens. I am supposed to be in 'The Expendables 3' but at the time I am meant to be doing 'Chinese Zodiac'.

''I cannot promise you anything but let's see what happens. I would love to do it. I love Stallone.''

Jackie previously revealed he was invited to be part of 2012's 'The Expendables 2', but had to turn down the part because of another scheduling conflict.

He previously said: ''Sly had invited me to be in '[The] Expendables 2' but I was too busy filming 'CZ12' and couldn't make a commitment to the film.''

The star also said that he and 'Rush Hour' co-star Chris Tucker have no plans to make a fourth movie in the action-comedy franchise.

He said: ''I think maybe not a 'Rush Hour 4'. I think that maybe Chris Tucker and I will start another movie. If the people still want 'Rush Hour 4' then okay we'll do [it], but I think Chris and me start another series of films.''
