The black and white video sees Jack talking about the making of the song and its respective album, before launching into the song with his band of violinists, cellists and the like. It was shot at the Pink Garter Theatre in Jackson, Wyoming in April 2015 during his acoustic tour.

'A few years ago I was asked by a musician called Danger Mouse if I wouldn't find finishing a couple of songs for a project he was working on', he explained to his audience. 'He has a pretty interesting idea; he was going to write the music and then have it transcribed into sheet music and he was going to fly to Rome and he was going to have all the musicians who are now in their 80s that played on all of Ennio Morricone's soundtracks from Sergio Leone's films to record the music.'

He added that he was asked to write lyrics for the instrumentals, making it the first time he had ever written lyrics to somebody else's songs. Including the track 'The Rose With The Broken Neck', they were featured on Danger Mouse (credited as Brian Burton) and Daniele Luppi's collaborative release 'Rome' which came out in 2011 to much acclaim.
