Sharon Osbourne might be raging about it, but her son Jack Osbourne seems rather more at peace with the fact that he hasn't been accepted to appear on new NBC show 'Stars Earn Stripes', claiming that the show will probably suck anyway. The programme will see various celebrities contest a mixture of military-style challenges, but Jack has unfortunately been excluded - this despite his history on TV as being somewhat of an action man.
Things changed for Osbourne when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis earlier this year, and it's this that mum Sharon thinks is behind bosses' decision not to hire her son. Indeed, Tmz reports that she threatened to quit her role on 'American Idol' over it, causing Nbc to release a statement reading: "We hold medical information in strict confidence and therefore cannot comment specifically about Jack, but as a company that cares deeply about the health and safety of everyone on our shows - especially one like 'Stars Earn Stripes' that requires dangerous water stunts, strenuous physical activity, and uses live ammunition - we required all potential participants to undergo medical vetting to ensure that they could safely participate."
The statement continued, "Although we did not ask Jack to participate in the competition, we were able to offer him two substantial alternative roles on the show, both of which he declined. This network does not discriminate on any basis." And as for Jack? "People make decisions, I'll just have to live it. That's all one can really say ... The bright side is the show is probably gonna suck anyway." So there you go, chill out, Sharon!
