Former pro-surfer Jack Johnson has another surprise album hit on his hands - his CURIOUS GEORGE soundtrack has shot to the top of the US charts.
The reluctant superstar's companion album to the new family film, SING-A-LONGS + LULLABIES FOR THE FILM CURIOUS GEORGE, sold 163,000 copies in the US in its first week on release to claim the top spot.
The disc also crashes into the top of the Billboard Rock Albums chart.
The album is the first soundtrack to take the number one spot on the chart since Bad Boys II achieved the same feat in 2003.
Meanwhile, R+B queen Mary J Blige's new album, The Breakthrough, continues to sell well - in its eighth week on release, the album sold an impressive 152,000 copies to claim this week's number two spot.
Last week's (ends10FEB06) chart-topper, Barry Manilow's The Greatest Songs Of The Fifties, slips to number three on the new chart.
