Hawaiian singer-songwriter Jack Johnson is determined to become an eco-warrior when he tours North America this summer (05) - his tour vehicles will run on biodiesel fuel, and he'll set up recycling stations at the venues he stops off at.

The former pro-surfer is planning a 35-date trip across America, playing mostly open-air venues, beginning on 1 August (05).

Johnson will also be selling a special tour-only DVD to benefit his favourite charity 1 PER CENT FOR THE PLANET.
