Singer/songwriter Jack Johnson is set to be honoured with a top conservation award in recognition of his ongoing environmental endeavours.
The Better Together hitmaker has sealed his green credentials over the years - he founded his own charity to raise awareness of eco issues in his native Hawaii, and in 2010 he donated 100 per cent of his tour profits to good causes.
He also fuelled all the touring vehicles with sustainable biodiesel and ensured his show merchandise was eco-friendly - and now officials at the National Wildlife Federation have named Johnson the recipient of their National Conservation Achievement Award.
The star will pick up his prize at an event in Washington, D.C. on 17 May (12).
