Jack Black feels "comfortable" with family comedies.

The 'Gulliver's Travels' actor - who has sons Sammy, four, and Thomas, two, with wife Tanya Haden -insists he finds it easy to separate himself from his comedy rock group Tenacious D to do things with more universal appeal.

He said: "I feel pretty comfortable in family comedies.

"I am known for my bluer material with Tenacious D, but I can party in the family realm.

"And I have a family now, so I think about that stuff."

Like Jack, his 'Gulliver's Travels' co-star Jason Segal - who is best known for is roles in movies such as 'Knocked Up' and 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' - also relished the chance to star in a family movie, though he admits he found it challenging.

Jason said: "It is kind of weird doing a family comedy. It's been a good challenge, trying to be funny without resorting to swearing and raunchy humour."
