Jack Black has won a role in Peter Jackson's new film KING KONG - and has
joked he got the job because of the director's children.
The funnyman will play CARL DENHAM in the remake of the classic film, and
Black believes Jackson must have chosen him to star in the film because the
Lord Of The Rings film-maker's children were so impressed with his role in
School Of Rock.
He says, "Jackson liked the movie I did a long time ago called HIGH
FIDELITY and I've been a huge fan of his for a long time.
"I suspect that really it was his child who liked me in School of Rock and
talked him into casting me in King Kong just so that he could hang out with me.
So I have to thank the young offspring!"
