Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY stole the show at the Ivor Novello Awards last night (26MAY05), by claiming his London home has been "bugged".

The former LIBERTINE, who has been heroin-free since having implants fitted in late February (05), attended the ceremony at the British capital's Grosvenor House Hotel, where he lost out to Franz Ferdinand in the Best Contemporary Song Category.

And he told of his fears he's being kept under 24-hour surveillance as part of a mystery conspiracy.

Last night, Doherty ranted, "I found a bug, a hidden camera, in my house.

"I don't want to talk about it, it's being investigated... I'm a bit paranoid."

The rocker is having to rely on his supermodel lover Kate Moss for support after receiving a tiny $950 (GBP500) in royalties from his former group's eponymous second album.

Doherty moans, "I just got the royalties through from the second Libertines album. The others all got GBP90,000. I got GBP500 and I'm skint."
