Irish supergroup U2 rocked a Brazilian carnival on Thursday (23FEB06), only days after the Rolling Stones played to two million fans in Rio de Janeiro.
Both groups are touring South America, with the ONE stars playing two sold-out gigs in the Brazilian capital Sao Paulo's Morumbi soccer stadium on Monday and Tuesday (20-21FEB06).
On Thursday, U2 frontman Bono took time out of their Vertigo tour to duet with Brazilian pop star Ivete Sangalo at the Carnival in Salvador, which precedes the world-famous carnival in Rio, which kicks off this weekend (25FEB06).
