Ivanka Trump, the American model-turned-businesswoman, announced she had welcomed a baby-girl on Twitter, just hours after giving birth on Sunday (17th July 2011). Trump's 1 million plus followers were first to receive the good news, with the 29-year-old describing her first-born as "beautiful and healthy".
The daughter of magnate Donald Trump declined to reveal the baby's name of weight, but tweeted, "This morning, [Jared] and I welcomed a beautiful and healthy little baby girl into the world". The businesswoman married husband Jared Kushner, owner of the New York Observer, in October 2009. The couple married in an Orthodox Jewish marriage shortly after Trump had converted to Judaism. Just last week, Ivanka had admitted she was nervous about welcoming her first child, saying, telling People Magazine, "I haven't focused too much on the actual delivery part, which is seriously terrifying". Donald has so far refused to comment on the birth of his third grandchild - his son Donald Jr has two children and is expecting a third.
Ivanka, who was previously in a relationship with the American sitcom star Topher Grace, appears as a boardroom judge on her father's hit U.S. reality show 'The Apprentice'.
