Rev Cotton Marcus (Fabian) has been a preacher since he was a little boy, following in the footsteps of his father (Wright) to hold his congregation in the palm of his hand and exorcise demons when necessary. But a crisis has undermined his faith, so he hires a TV crew (Bahr and Grimes) to document the the ridiculous trickery he uses to perform one final exorcism. But nothing about this possessed girl (Bell), her father (Herthum) or brother (Jones) is as expected. And Cotton starts to doubt that there's a logical explanation.

Reverend Cotton Marcus is an evangelical minister who has spent his life convincing others that he's able to perform exorcisms. Thinking his final exorcism is behind him the Reverend allows a film crew to document his final days in the ministry but when a desperate and distraught father contacts the reverend asking him to remove the demons from his possessed daughters body, the reverend has no choice but to accept. As the film crew reveal Reverend Cotton as a fraud, he is faced with the true evil that appears to be worsening in the farmers daughter.
