Trash Fashion are an English electro-rock four-piece. They formed in Birmingham in 2004 before relocating to London in 2005. They have since had a number of different drummers and bassists, with the final line up now consisting of Tom Marsh (vocals, keys), his brother Ben (guitar, backing vocals), Matt Emerson (drums) and Jim Ready (bass).
In November 2006 they released their debut EP It's A Rave Dave on limited edition vinyl and the record became a big underground club hit. It coincided with the start of the New Rave scene and Trash Fashion were seen as one of the leading bands in the genre. They are now known for their genre-bridging combination of electro, pop, dance and rock and their energetic live shows.
They released two more independent EPs to date; Mom And Daddy (October 2007) and Why Can't We Be Friends? (March 2008) before releasing their debut full length album, Nights Of Error on Propaganda Records in October 2008. They have toured extensively in the UK, Europe and the US and have played a number of festivals including SXSW and UK industry event, In The City, with their biggest gig to date being a support slot for Faithless at the NIA.
The band has got a heavy dance influence and brothers Tom and Ben also DJ and remix under the name RMRM (Remake Remodel). They have recently joined DJ label F - 10 and DJ regularly on the London scene as well as in Europe and the States.
Trash Fashion are set to release a cover of Hall and Oates I Can't Go For That in July 2009. It will be released digitally on the Rock+Rock label but each of the songs on the EP will available for free download on their website for a limited period before the release. The songs will also be accompanied by a series of videos that were written and directed by the band.
