Skiffle burst onto the music scene in late 1955, soon to be overtaken by rock & roll. By the beginning of the 1960s, groups were forming and re-forming all over Northern England. One of the most popular was 'The Dolphins', featuring a promising Nelson-born teenage guitarist named TONY HICKS.
