Steffi Graf - Comments and Message Board

Dear Ms. Agassi-Graf:I have played Tennis for 50 years. Some more similarities: I lived in Neckarau for a while, I know the restaurant in Neulingen that you visited a few years ago. They still talk about you with great reverence. One unforgettable moment and a sample for the players who give their display in a less gracious or even no gracious at all: your last French Open in 1999. This was one for the ages. Ms. Hingis had at this time definitely her first tries with substances that did not do her well. She was leading in the second set 2:0 and overall, she was ranked number 2. For this, her status in tennis, was quite confusing. It was pretty strange that she as Number 1 would not know that all rules in tennis forbid a little visit on the court site of his/her opponent. BUT YOU WERE STILL THE ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHT FOR YOUR FRENCH SUPERFANS: It was such a wonderful display of what you had in you and how you would return the favour to the French spectators when you with both point fingers DIRECTED THE WAVE. Unforgettable! I had to see you a few weeks later in the final with Davenport. Again, your deportment as noble as it gets. "It is Davenport's day," is what you said instead of making that stupid good-bye wave. Know my sport also a little well and having a lot of your matches watched, I believe the real reason was somewhere else (I looked up all the books on it. The result was 4;6, 4;6. Nobody seemed to notice that you played a match in which you could not deliver not service break. I cried, you just staved off the holy courts of Wimbledon. Seven wins plus this final was enough, maybe it was not even planned. In 1988 I watched your win at the French Open with 6:0, 6:0. It took 36 minutes, not 38 minutes. But, let this go by. One could almost feel sorry for Natasha. Now, please feel a little sorry for me: I paid a fortune for tickets to this final, and all I got was 36 miutes? I almost asked for a refund for my ticket. TENNIS MISSES YOU! Please do not do a "big" comeback. You have given us all you had. I miss you, Friedrich Buch

Its bad that the German media is making their only tennis SUPERSTAR unhappy. Had steffi belonged to our India, we would have loved her so much. Media should not look into private matters. Steffi is known for her tennis skills. Don't make her life public. She has made Germany proud on so many occasions.LOVE YOU STEFFI. I AM YOUR GREATEST FAN IN INDIA.BHARTI
