Saffron Burrows

Biography

Safrron Burrows made her film debut in Jim Sheridan's "In The Name Of The Father". She then starred as the ambitious Irish girl, Nan Mahon, in "Circle Of Friends". Her leading roles soon ran the gamut from English/Italian twins in Mike Figgis' daring film, "The Loss Of Sexual Innocence" to the driven scientist in the blockbuster movie, "Deep Blue Sea". Burrows' film career includes an eclectic mix of cutting-¬-edge cinema ranging from the experimental split-¬-screen film, "Timecode" to the title role in Strindberg's "Miss Julie" to starring opposite Paul Bettany in "Gangster No. 1".

The list of auteurs goes on with Michael Apted's "Enigma" where Burrows co-¬- starred with Kate Winslet; Hal Hartley's "Fay Grim"; and, Raoul Ruiz's "Klimt" starring opposite John Malkovich. Burrows' diverse roles continued with her riveting performance in Amy Redford's "The Guitar", followed by the dark comedy, "Shrink", with Kevin Spacey.

Along with independent film, Burrows has starred in Wolfgang Peterson's hit film, "Troy", as well as Mike Binder's "Reign Over Me" opposite Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle. She also received great acclaim for her work in Roger Donaldson's heist film, "The Bank Job" opposite Jason Statham.

Burrows' television roles began with the sex-¬-obsessed lawyer in David Kelley's award-¬-winning series, "Boston Legal". More recently, she's starred opposite Jeff Goldblum in the long-¬-running hit franchise, "Law and Order: Criminal Intent".
