Formed in mid '98, the foursome that would become Rocket Science were all insearch of a fresh musical vehicle when they hooked up in a Melbourne rehearsal studio. Spearheaded by ex-Martians guitarist Roman Tucker, who recruited friend and Velvet Tongue band mate Kit Warhurst, along with Melbourne rivals Dave Gray from the Freeloaders, and ex-Hog member Paul Maybury, the musicians clicked instantly during the one-off jam session. After the unanimous decision to continue full time, Roman set aside the guitar, and continued honing his new found skills on the organ, using his current instrument to explore different songwriting styles.
